As Active Rehab’s Neurosciences Team Leader, Simon coordinates and mentors our Neurology and Neurosurgery physiotherapy team. He delivers advanced level clinical physiotherapy and consultancy services, using evidence-based clinical knowledge and skills to lead the neurosciences team by example to maximise performance. He also works as part of Active’s Clinical Education team supporting final year physiotherapy students from UQ. 

Simon enjoys working with high-performing multidisciplinary teams, coordinating patient care. He works with patients before and after neck and spinal surgery both in hospital and via online video consultations. Using innovative technologies like Physitrack—a rehabilitation and telehealth app—Simon is able to connect with his patients, monitor their progress and upgrade their rehabilitation programs all from the comfort of their own home.  

Simon is a Captain in Australian Army Reserve and has been recognised for his leadership and his strong skills in logistics and operations, having served the Australian public in both bushfire and flood response operations.  

In his spare time Simon enjoys spending time with his family and keeping fit.
