February 2024

Welcome to the October edition of Active Values in Action, our forum for encouraging the heart
– a place for team celebration and recognition.

Happy Reading.

Annual Data Collection

Each year at Active, we collect and collate data around our business activity.

We are immensely proud to have such a wonderful team and wanted to share some of this data with you, to highlight your efforts and how you have helped your patients and our community. Well done to you all.

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Our newsletter has a short pause in December and January, and will recommence for distribution in February 2024.

Team Feedback

Jessica Lythall

From Emma Boersen

I took over a patient of Jess Lythall’s, who was very appreciative of the care Jess had provided her with. She said Jess was very lovely and gave her a lot of assistance with developing her exercise program to help with her recovery.

Spotlight on the Team

Introducing...Krishni Jayawardana

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I grew up, and have spent most of my life in Sydney. One of my earliest memories would have to be watching the Olympic torch go past my preschool in 2000!

Can you tell us about a previous favourite role or job you may have had?

I was a residential mentor in college during my time at the University of Newcastle – I got to meet students from around the world and loved being able to host floor events to bring everyone together.

In terms of the most random job that I’ve had – being a crop report analyst for a few of my summer holidays. I got to test and grade various wheat samples, which is as dull as it sounds :)

What are your personal interests or hobbies?

Baking (My housemate and I even started an Instagram page, although it’s been a while since it was active) and running just completed the Bridge 2 Brissy this weekend!

What are you most proud of in your life?

Running a marathon would certainly be up there in terms of bucket list moments!

Can you tell us one thing about you that the team at Active may not know about you?

I did one of my physio placements in Kandy, Sri Lanka – which has to have been one of my most eye opening experiences thus far. It really made me appreciate the level of healthcare that we have access to and freedom that we have as physios to design our own assessment and management plans.

What are your greatest achievements in your role at Active so far?

I love the teamwork and camaraderie that comes with working at Active. Being a part of such a wonderful weekend team is something that I’ll always be proud of and these 4 years will be a time that I’ll remember fondly. And of course, finally returning Dave’s steth after accidentally holding it hostage for 3 months 🙂

What's New?

New Clinical Documents/New Marketing Material

New Basecamp Procedure for Initiating and Tracking Inpatient Vestibular Referrals

Thanks to the inpatient team for seamlessly adopting the new Basecamp Card Table for our inpatient vestibular referrals. Feedback has been really positive from the vestibular team in receiving the referrals and relevant clinical information in a timely manner, resulting in an improved service for our patients and referrers.

A reminder about the notification settings in Basecamp – you can set these to specific hours to avoid notifications outside your work hours. Please ensure, however, that your settings remain as “Notify me about everything” during work hours, including your weekend shifts.
