Vestibular (Dizziness/Vertigo)

Vestibular Physiotherapy (Dizziness/Vertigo)

Problems with your vestibular system can lead to a range of distressing symptoms – dizziness, vertigo, difficulties with balance, blurred vision, nausea and vomiting, fatigue and lack of concentration. At Active we offer a comprehensive vestibular physiotherapy service, backed by research, to help diagnose and manage your specific symptoms.

Our team of vestibular physiotherapists have advanced training in the assessment and treatment of vestibular disorders. Our physiotherapists conduct detailed assessments, using the latest diagnostic technology including Video Head Impulse Testing (VHIt) and Infra-red Video Goggles (IRG). Gaining an accurate understanding of the cause of your symptoms is essential to successfully treat vestibular conditions. Our physiotherapists understand that your vestibular symptoms may be sensitive or irritable, and will guide you gently through the assessment process.

Once your physiotherapist has determined the most likely cause of your symptoms, they will design a highly specific physiotherapy treatment plan designed for your condition; taking into consideration your unique goals, lifestyle, health and exercise tolerance. They will also work closely with your other treating health professionals to ensure you get the right treatment, at the right time.
