As Active’s Medical and Cancer Care Team Leader, Charise relishes the opportunity to mentor and support Active’s physiotherapy team, in the delivery of exceptional services in oncology and acute medical physiotherapy. In addition, Charise is Active’s Cancer Care Stream Co-Leader, overseeing Active’s inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy Cancer Care programs and service delivery. She is proud to represent Active’s highly skilled inpatient and outpatient Medical/Cancer Care team.  

With over 10 years of experience in the inpatient setting, Charise brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to ongoing learning and development. She values the progressive and evidence-based nature of physiotherapy, which allows her to have a positive impact on people and their quality of life.  

In her free time, Charise enjoys hiking, outdoor activities, spending time with family, and being near the ocean. She has also volunteered as a team physiotherapist for a Brisbane-based Roller Derby League, and accompanied the women’s Australian Roller Derby team to the 2011 & 2014 World Cup in Canada and the USA.  

Charise’s favourite moments as a physiotherapist involve forming connections with people and making a difference. She loves coming to work with her team of positive and supportive people, working together to help others.
