Fiona McKinnon
With three decades of clinical knowledge and practical experience, Fiona has provided physiotherapy support to thousands of people. As Active Rehab’s Clinical Education Coordinator, Fiona supervises clinical placements for final year physiotherapy students from the University of Queensland. She ensures that Active provides high-quality learning experiences for students, in preparation for their physiotherapy careers. She enjoys providing the students with a clinical experience that makes them enthusiastic about physiotherapy as a rewarding and enjoyable career choice. Fiona also coordinates and mentors Active’s team of Clinical Educators.
With her empathetic, practical and encouraging approach to patient care, Fiona values providing patients with treatment that improves and enhances their recovery. Her experience includes practice in critical care, medical, cancer care, ante- and post-natal physiotherapy and paediatrics, as well as amputee, neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Her experience, knowledge and caring nature make her a valued member of multi-disciplinary teams.
Fiona enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys staying active with her daily walks, hiking and Reformer Pilates.
