Gerard Pitot is a dedicated and inquisitive physiotherapist who brings broad experience across musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, vestibular, and Men’s Health physiotherapy. Since graduating, Gerard has worked across a wide range of clinical settings including private practice, neurological rehabilitation, hospital medical wards, emergency departments, and outpatient rehabilitation services both in Australia and within the United Kingdom’s National Health Service. This breadth of experience allows him to confidently support patients with a diverse range of rehabilitation and recovery needs.

Gerard has a particular interest in Men’s Health physiotherapy and supports men with concerns including bladder control, pelvic health, and rehabilitation following prostate cancer treatment and prostate surgery. He understands that these concerns can often feel sensitive and difficult to discuss, and works hard to create a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their care. Gerard is passionate about helping men regain confidence, improve function, and return to meaningful daily activities through practical, evidence-based rehabilitation.

Gerard is known for his calm, patient, and non-judgemental approach. He believes the best outcomes come from listening carefully, building trust, and tailoring treatment to the individual’s lifestyle, goals, and stage of recovery. Whether supporting someone after surgery, assisting with neurological rehabilitation, treating dizziness and balance disorders, or helping patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries, Gerard takes pride in delivering thoughtful and personalised care.

He combines current evidence-based practice with clear communication and realistic rehabilitation strategies so patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their recovery journey. Patients often appreciate Gerard’s reassuring manner and his ability to break down complex problems into manageable and achievable steps.

Outside of work, Gerard enjoys playing basketball and volleyball, surfing, solving crossword puzzles, and keeping up with the NBA and UFC.

Gerard’s favourite quote:
