Jo is a long-standing and integral member of Active Rehab Physiotherapy and works as part of our hospital physiotherapy team. Jo has a keen interest in post-surgery, cardiorespiratory and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Described as a kind and empathetic listener, Jo enjoys motivating her patients to progress and improve through physiotherapy. She also works as part of Active’s Clinical Education team supporting final year physiotherapy students from UQ. 

Jo graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. During her studies, Jo was employed with us as a part-time administrator at Active Rehab, providing outstanding support and service. She has extensive knowledge of the practice and her friendly and caring approach towards her team and patients make her an asset to Active Rehab. Prior to pursuing a career in physiotherapy, Jo completed a dual degree in Commerce and Business Management at the University of Queensland. 

Jo has a strong passion for sport, in particular netball. She has represented Queensland at national level for many years as well as the Surrey Storm in the UK Netball Super league. 

As an elite sportswoman, Jo has a keen interest in health and wellbeing and is committed to optimising the health and wellbeing of her patients through physiotherapy. As well as exercise for fitness, in her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her husband and young family.
