Luke is passionate about the physiotherapy profession and the positive impact that physios can have on the world.  He works with some of Brisbane’s top orthopaedic surgeons in the assessment and treatment of patients following orthopaedic surgery, sports injuries and musculoskeletal injuries. He also works as part of Active’s Clinical Education team supporting final year physiotherapy students from UQ. 

Luke has been praised by his patients and referring doctors for his ‘kind, insightful and exceptional care’.  He uses a person-focused, gentle, hands-on, education and exercise-based approach, to support improvements in pain and function.  Luke empowers his patients to live their lives well, encouraging their own solutions, and realistic plans, to their problems. 

As part of the Active Rehabilitation Research Foundation, and in partnership with the University of Queensland, Luke has travelled as a Clinical Educator to Timor-Leste to support the clinical placements of final year physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology students. Active has had a long-standing commitment to the support of the people in Timor-Leste over many years, and this is part of Active’s commitment to partnering with UQ and the Timorese healthcare workers to support sustainable and long-term outcomes for their patients and communities. 

Luke also has a keen interest in sports physiotherapy and supported the Fijian Youth Netball Team at Botswana’s World Youth Netball Cup in 2017 and the Fijian National Netball Team in World Cup Netball in Liverpool, England in 2019. He loves playing sport with his friends, including ultimate Frisbee, surfing, running and tennis.
