As a member of both Active’s hospital physiotherapy team and outpatient team, Marcel loves the opportunity this gives him to provide ongoing, connected care for his patients, to guide them through their rehabilitation journey. As one of our Men’s Health Physiotherapists, Marcel helps men through prostate surgery rehabilitation. He also supports patients through musculoskeletal pain and injury management, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, and return to work and sport. 

With his positive, respectful and collaborative approach, Marcel has a unique ability to motivate his patients to achieve their goals. He also has a special interest in neurological physiotherapy and neurosurgical rehabilitation, and, during his university studies, his Honours Research Project investigated non-invasive brain stimulation. Marcel also travelled to Timor-Leste on student placement to provide neurological rehabilitation services at their National Centre for Rehabilitation. 

Marcel loves being part of the Active Rehab team, surrounded by “outstanding, supportive, caring individuals who go above and beyond for each other and their patients.” He is a keen sportsman and enjoys running and team sports.
