Our Team

Renee De Maria

Renee has extensive experience in neurological and vestibular physiotherapy and leads our Vestibular team. She works closely with medical and other specialists to deliver informed, individual and evidence-based programs and care.

Renee combines her knowledge with state-of-the-art vestibular equipment to help patients manage conditions that include dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. She is particularly passionate about falls prevention and goes above and beyond to help people with complex and chronic conditions find solutions to improve.

As well as treating patients first-hand, Renee is involved in ongoing research and clinical development and has presented at international conferences. She is a member of the Queensland Vestibular Network and the Queensland Rehabilitation Physiotherapists’ Network.

A career highlight has been as one of our recipients of a significant Cromwell Property Foundation Research grant, funding highly advanced technologies and a research project in the area of Vestibular Rehabilitation. “I’m excited that we’re starting to progress this research and look forward to making a difference to our profession with the outcomes of this work.”

Renee enjoys being part of what she calls the ‘Active Rehab family’ and watching members of the Vestibular team grow in their confidence and share their achievements. When not at work, you will find Renee swimming and cooking with her family.

Renee’s favourite quote:
