Originally from Canada, Tara gained her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology at Brock University, Ontario. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at The University of Queensland and was on the Deans Honour List each year throughout the program.

Tara is a fun-loving and compassionate physiotherapist who takes the time to find out what her patients enjoy doing, and then incorporates these activities into their rehab programs. She finds joy in making a difference in patients’ everyday lives.

As a member of both Active’s hospital physiotherapy team and outpatient team, Tara loves the opportunity this gives her to provide ongoing, connected care for her patients, to guide them through their rehabilitation journey.

Tara enjoys being active outdoors and loves to hike and play Frisbee. Before moving to Australia, she spent a significant amount of time playing indoor volleyball across North America.

Tara’s favourite quote:

You don’t need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” – Martin Luther King
