We welcomed Tom Beirne to the Active Rehabilitation team in 2019.  He works as part of our weekend hospital physiotherapy team.  Tom has a keen interest in the physiotherapy management of patients with orthopaedic and general medical conditions.

Tom graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. During his studies, Tom received the Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence on multiple occasions. He is currently studying a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Queensland.

Tom’s previous working experience lies in the areas of musculoskeletal and post-operative physiotherapy in a private practice setting, as well as providing physiotherapy services for rugby, cricket, and football teams.

In his spare time, Tom stays active by playing rugby, tennis, and cricket. He also volunteers for the Modified Rugby Program, allowing children and young adults with learning and perceptual difficulties to participate in a non-contact form of rugby.
